Wargaming.net, the team behind the world's most popular free-to-play World War II tank MMO, has announced a new free-to-play game: World of Warplanes.

WoW World of Warplanes will be another free-to-play game and will be standalone. The game will be set in the period between the 1930s through the 1950s, and it will feature warplanes. World of Tanks has proven to have its audience, so let's see of they can repeat the success with World of Warplanes or if they can engage those who didn't care about tanks.
