Come on, Kinect. Give me a reason to buy you!
*crosses fingers for Sesame Street*
Looks horrible
Let it die.
Stop trying to live out your 5 year old dreams of lightsaber magic crap. The wii didn't make it happen and this won't either.
Not because the trailer was exciting or the gameplay displayed did anything for me,I just like to pretend that the kid who turns around at the end and sees all that star warsy goodness around him has actually snapped, replaced his own world with that of the star wars universe and is about to start slicing up younglings (ie his school chums and family members)
i really hope those rumored Dance Central 2 features will be true cause it sounds like Harmonix is jumping from Guitar Hero 1(Dance Central) to Rock Band 3(Dance Central 2) with one game.
So where are all these hardcore Kinect games? Are they just hiding behind the casual and kiddie crappy ones?
Even given llort-like nature of your statement, I feel that I must agree. Star Wars died after 1983.
did i just saw Nights-like action in Disney universe? SOLD.
lmao, where? i was talking about features mentioned in the news not the whole 10 seconds of gameplay footage(and that includes cutscenes) like the rest of you.
Hopefully, the Moonwalk, helpfully re-dubbed in the game as The Skywalk, is a valid input. They could even have a tutorial mode where Obi-Wan tells the player "Use less Force, Fluke Moonwalker."!
Considering how well The Michael Jackson Experience sold, there are plenty people who have practiced the very move needed to make fast fluid forward movement via Kinect possible!
As encouraging as that one detail may potentially be, the game could benefit from adjustable speed settings, less of a focus on combat in wide open area with multiple opponents and reverting back to the more practical, less flashy Light Saber dueling style if not the events of the first Star Wars trilogy(which, for many Star Wars fans, is the only trilogy) among other things.
I was thinking the same thing. Are we not looking at the same info? Because if you can say it "sounds awesome" based on this information why can't you say otherwise?
I never thought Star Wars Kinect as shown here was a good idea. Now had it been effin' Star Wars on rails with a blaste and it used Kinect for all kinds of badassery I'd be all up in that bitch. But the whole Jedi and lightsaber thing, even if it works well at the end, it's just not my cup of tea. When will people realize there's so much more to Star Wars than fucking Jedis? Remember all the cool ships and blasters and shit? Can we go back to acknowledging that stuff exist? Gimme a Battlefront 3 or another Republic Commando or something original even.
God forbid KOTOR 3 happen.
Alright, enough of the Clone Wars period. It sucked, get over it George.
agreed. Except with move and wii, we have controls at least. Kinect is a gimmick, nothing more. It's been out now for a while and all we still have for it is dance and workout games. While it might be good for those, it really has'nt delivered for anything else. If and when it does, Something else will be out that is better, like the new Nintendo. And once again, Sony and MS will be scrambling to play catch-up.
Mark my words. If Nintendo's screen thingy on Project Cafe is a success, MS and Sony will copy it, a year or two later, only to have missed the mark.

Give us any sort of input device for walking, please. Here's an idea, use something similar to the Nintendo Powerpad for the NES. You want to move forward? Walk forward a step. When you want to stop, take a step back. I mean, it really shouldn't be that hard. They spent millions of dollars developing this, but they couldn't think up a way to allow people to move? Not to mention that spit second of "lag" would completely take me out of the atmosphere.
I own a Kinect and I'm excited for Child of Eden, but that's about it. There's so many missed opportunities with this. I'm excited to see what they show at E3 though! :)
“Our priority is to create authentic, immersive, high quality Star Wars games.”
:-\ I guess they meant AFTER this turd.
I will buy a kinect as soon as you stop wearing sunglasses indoors for interviews. Basically I see this and say "If he thinks its cool, its probably not my thing."
