I didn't hear a word any of them said, all I could hear was the insane amount of sexual tension between Jim and Holmes until Jim finally utters his true feelings at the end and then I have to clean my screen.
The only thing that would have made this video more awesome would be if Dale appeared at the end and you all rode Corgis into the sunset.
After the show just finished I was kind of disappointed. I was hoping for at least one huge reveal to close it off, even it was just a trailer for a game which would only be released next year or so.
But you guys make fair points, though. It wasn't such a bad show, just nothing spectacular either, and the order could probably have been better. And combined with Rayman Legends and those other confirmed Wii U titles (I'm probably the only one, but I'm very interested in Trine 2 Wii U), I think I can be happy with what I've seen of the console so far.
Now all that's left is waiting for a release date and price.

I walked away disappointed, but I agree that in due time people will notice it wasn't as bad as everybody makes it out to be.
I totally agree that things should've happened in reverse order, but even then, unless they'd spent even more time with Pikmin, I'd have still been underwhelmed. We all knew about Pikmin - we needed a surprise.
Oh and they should've given half the time spent on Nintendoland to 3DS stuff, software showcase or no.
It was a decent show. If they would have tossed in some more 3DS stuff, project p-100 and ended on a surprise game that catered to all the dudebros that need mass killing to get excited about a game then i dont think you'd see as much disappointment.
The disappointments for me were the lack retro studios and the wii u ports. Pikmin 3 looks amazing though.
I've been waiting since N64 for Nintendo to make me fall in love with them again.... and.... it's just not happening... I was actually really interested the second I heard you can have 2 of the tabletpads on the system at once, but almost EVERYTHING I see seems to be centred around streaming the game to the tablet, not utilizing it as a new input device... I dunno... maybe this time next year, when they drop the price to $200 I'll get one just for the sake of it... but as hard as I try to renew my love for Nintendo.... Sony and MS just deserve my money so much more...

Really? For my money, the DS years were the best thing to happen in gaming since the SNES. I would neglect home console and PC games to play my DS. I'm just waiting for the 3DS to finally live up to that. (Bringing quicktime events to my portable Castlevanias is not the way to do that, Konami.)
Also, the Wii started out strong, just like every Nintendo console since the N64, third party support died too early.

The Wii brought some fresh, fun new gameplay to the table (the games that actually did this well really shined) it was just the graphics and processing power holding it back. I want a high-res No More Heroes on the Wii U.

An Infinite Space sequel, a new Phoenix Wright, a new Advance Wars,any of these things would have made me extremely happy, but the 3DS news gets pushed off until tomorrow and all we get are quick shots of a handful of titles we already knew about.

The 2006 Sony E3 press conference was talked about in these same equivocal terms by the people in attendence. To those watching at home (and who didn't have lots of partisan fanboy baggage), it was pretty clear that we just witnessed a company go from (way out) in 1st place to last place in about an hour. (at least, failing radical future adjustments that didn't come) It was like Sony just burned a couple billion game-market dollars in a bonfire. And not because of the embarrassing meme-worthy parts, either. We kind of just saw it again, today. (again, failing dramatic future adjustments) We see it time and time again at these events, that the reporters have all kinds of emotional and intellectual, external and internal reasons to not report on the rotting elephant carcass in the room. I won't go into the psychology of it, but it is kind of a bummer. That's why I was pleasantly suprised by the roundtable gametrailers crew actually reporting on the truly shocking nature of the event only minutes after it. I believe "stunning" was one of the words they used. Kudos to them, and frowny sticker for Destructoid.
