So if I am going to feel powerful, does that mean the leveling/autoscale system won't put me in a position where it takes me an hour to take down a single scamp?

It'll probably be good once it's been modded to hell and back on PC.
That said, I was genuinely impressed with the showing they made. While it's difficult to comment on Bethsoft reliability from what we've seen, they seem to have addressed most of the other issues I was expecting to find with the game.
For one, it looks as though actual effort went into the animations this time around.

@jim: there's only one thing I can thing of that will improve this game more and that is drop in co-op with buddies. But this game is already set to be the greatest game of all fucking time. GIANTS hhnngggggggg!!!!!!
It looks awesome, but it doesn't really look completely overhauled in the combat department. They added some neat kill animations, but that seems to be the only different thing.
The dragons are super cool, and I like how they kind of act on their own and surprise you. I do think it kind of presents a major disadvantage for thieves though, with mages and fighters being better equipped to face Dragons head to head.
The spell setup looks neat, and I was impressed with the two-handed spell.
Enemies look neat, especially the giants. Not a fan of spiders at all though. Fuck that shit.
The rest looks pretty much like Oblivion/Fallout/Morrowind, which isn't bad, just familiar.

Fuck yeah. Oblivion got ruined by that moronic system where you never got any stronger since literally the entire world leveled up along with you. It'll be nice to actually feel like you're getting stronger.

so, will this actually going to be a good game unlike you know everything Bethesda developped in the last 10 or so years. i doubt it will be as good as Witcher 2 and this is the game i'll be picking up on 360(i've already finished it on pc, but the game is too good to play it on just one platform) as my rpg for 2011. Bethesda with all of their past games made sure to let me know that their making terrible action rpgs that suck donkey balls in terms of action gameplay(and controls) and are really bad rpgs with terrible storyline. surprise me Bethesda and i might pick it up when i'll be done with you know...good rpg games.

I hated that about Oblivion. If there was no autoscaling system I would be much more inclined to like this game.

I partially agree. I was never able to get into Oblivion (and I tried several times) because I absolutely hated the leveling system and a few other things. Skyrim seems to address every one of my concerns while looking totally amazing, so now I'm !!!!!!!!!
