E3: Recap of the EA press conference

4:25 PM on 06.04.2012 // Chad Concelmo

Shooters!

That was the vibe I got after watching the EA press conference. Sure, they had some SimCity and Need for Speed to break up the trigger pulling action, but most of their presentation was all about shooters. Some set during war, some set in space, and some on the top of a dam.

Don't get me wrong, they looked great! But ... shooters!

Here is a recap of all the major news that came out of the show:

EA bitchslaps Zynga with SimCity Social
EA details some new mechanics in Madden NFL 13
EA confirm Battlefield 3 Premium subscription
XCOM: Enemy Unknown trailer arrives
EA announces a multi-year partnership with UFC
Star Wars: TOR goes free-to-play up to level 15
Dead Space 3 is exactly what I wanted: More
Getting around the new SimCity
FIFA is 'football's social network'
Crysis 3's urban rainforest is pretty
Dust 514 gets PlayStation Home area, Vita app
Isaac gets chilly in Dead Space 3 trailer
EA announces multi-year partnership with UFC
Medal of Honor: Warfighter pre-order DLC announced
More details on EA's SimCity Social

What are you most excited about? What could you have done without?

Thanks for sticking with Destructoid! Ubisoft is coming up soon!
