...Alright then.
;_;
This! So many great PS2 games that I want to play on my Slim PS3, like Def Jam FFNY or Persona 4.
(Also: FFVII ~ 1.3GB, FFVIII ~ 1.8GB, FFIX ~ 1.4GB, just saying.)
If you spent $250 so you can play PS1 games on the go, you're an idiot. No, really. You're an idiot. You can get a PSP Slim for $130 to play a full library of classics legally or illegally. The Xperia Play (which is free on Verizon and AT&T right now) can be rooted to play any PS1 ROM in existence and would completely replace the phone you're already paying for service on. You can find an open source GP2X for $100 these days and run every classic emulator under the sun on it without any trouble.
For those ignorant to the situation, in order for Sony to enable you to play these games on a new piece of hardware, they all need to be relicensed from the owners, one by one. And in order to make sure no self entitled "homebrew" hackers open the piracy floodgates on Vita and ruin it like they did the PSP, they need to make sure whatever emulator they use doesn't have any "unintended features".
So calm down. Really really.
Thankfully, I didn't! I have 8 Vita games. I just noted that this was "one" of the main reasons I bought one. Also, I have a PSP -- I just want digital Vita games, PSP games, and PSone classics all in one place.
