What is wrong with you people??? The thing looks incredible!!! I sersiouly didnt think they could come up with anything interesting or innovative after the 3DS and the Wii but this is actually insanely brilliant stuff and I am not sure why no one here seems to get that!!

WTF? I don't even..... Is it a new console? A new controller? Both? How would that even work? If it is both, why isn't it a portable? Do run the games off the Wii? How does it stream video to your TV? How much will cost? How long will its battery last? How do you even get games on it?

I already have a 360 and PS3, don't need "hardcore" titles - I really doubt Wii U will be lead dev console for any of these titles so you'll end up with lousy port jobs.

I'm torn beetween Nintendo and Sony. The Wii U is a great concept in many fronts. The support to Wii Remotes and the Balance Board(zapper to a lesser extent) makes the console the absolute beast when it comes to input methods. Nothing comes close by a long shot. It may lack Kinect's full body motion sensing, but it's got pretty much everything else, with the advantage of higher input precision. The absolute lack of games and the apparent unergonomic look of the controller are disconcerting though. Those look like cheap, shitty buttons. Though I kind of liked the inclusion of the circle pads.
It's all about the games and how they make good use of such a variety of inputs.

Why are people so let down by this? Honestly, this looks really interesting. I'm not saying I'm going to get it right off the bat or anything, but I can't believe the negativity going on here. You get a tablet as a controller! And an actual current gen Nintendo console! It's like the Vita+PS3.. only you need to buy 1 console instead of 2! What am I missing? Where is the disappoitnment? Why didn't they show any up close shots of the new system at the show?
They were pretty vague on everything, I don't really know anything new aside from what the controller looks like, and some 3rd party stuff coming

How are people disappointed with this when it's pretty much exactly what was being predicted to begin with? The lack of new games shown? I guess I can understand that, but... it's not like they won't come later. Maybe the lack of surprises was the disappointment, not the console itself.

Of all the names under this milky way sky, Nintendo just had to go and choose the stupidest one. Wii U. Not even Super Wii or the Wii 2 or how about Nintendo Revolution? What the hell does the U even stand for? Other than the name though I am excited to see if they make a return with this console. If they don't oh well, another 5 years of playing my 360 and pc without being able to enjoy the games that I bought Nintendo consoles for.
@killias2 - The fact that nothing there was new? I have a smartphone, an iPad, a PSP and a 360. I don't know if it's the Japanese mindset where they think this shit doesn't exist already, or isn't popular already (because maybe it isn't over there), but nothing there was revolutionary or desirable to me.

Tomb raider, assassins creed and rayman origins are the only games i saw that i really liked everything else i could take or leave. but this...i have a wii with 50 download games and about 20 full retail and i could not give less of a shit about this crap. ill stick with my ps3 and buy zelda SS but after that....no...not for me this.
This looks fantastic to me. I have always wanted an HD Nintendo system, without sacrificing that fun charm Nintendo has above all game makers. Seems like I got my wish.
