I like that the HUD is a lot less intrusive now. If it's just the buttons hanging out on the side of the screen, I can dig that.
I have to agree with Chad here, the game does look gorgeous. The skies especially looks beautiful. Looking forward to your write-up!

Why does Nintendo keep releasing Zelda games for their current console just as their next generation console comes out?
Looks awesome. I think this is the first Zelda game that I've ever been super hyped for. Chad, your enthusiasm is kind of infectious.
Also, MorbidApparition, I wasn't aware the bird in Galaxy 2 was gay. Was this an after-the-fact reveal like Dumbledore in Harry Potter?

The new trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBEj5is3juM) has risen my hype to dangerously high levels. Gonna have to keep it under control or else it'll be disappointing no matter how great it is.

........magical.....................dug out all my old gameboy gamecube and wii zelda games and remember playing the originals on my old nes and snes...... happy days...thanks nintendo
@Hawks: It's similar to Squaresoft and Final Fantasys. They always seem to release one toward the end of a system's lifespan. FF6 for SNES, FFIX for PS1, FF12 for PS2. The reason for this is that, by the end of the console's active life, they've spent enough time with it to know exactly how to tweak things, to eke every bit of performance out of the system as possible. And it shows. FF6 is the best game in the franchise. FFIX is an underrated gem and easily one of the best looking PS1 games. And, despite mixed reviews for FF12, you have to admit that it's impressive from a technical standpoint.
Basically it's this: They can either rush out a game for the next gen system that looks impressive compared to the previous gen, but will look really dated in a couple of years when everyone gets good with the hardware, or they can spend years with the last generation's console developing something that will stand as a testament to what that console was capable of.
