Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

Straight from the Nintendo press conference in Hollywood, we're coming to you live from Sony's E3 press conference in Los Angeles.

As you can see from the above picture, Sony already have a leg up on Nintendo's food-less presser -- open bar. Also in attendance: grilled cheese sandwiches, fruit, and salad. Total win.

But we're not here for the food (OK, we're kind of here for the food). Dale North and I will be live blogging from the event, bringing you all of the announcements and images straight from the press conference. Hit the jump for the fun (sorry, we're keeping all of the little bits of sausage rolled in bacon for ourselves.)

It would've been awesome if the trailer to R2 had the "Mad World" theme playing and the 2 coming out of nowhere. People would've thought Sony was taking a Microsoft exclusive, then you show them Resistance 2 and the audience will be dumbfounded, mwhaahaha.

That's a pretty cheap use of Sackboy.

That was great. And now, a PS2 segment that nobody cares about. Oh god, it looks so much more dated than I could have imagined.

I hope official distribution in Latin America will bring the price down, I have a lot of friends that want one but don't want to pay the 800-900 dollars it would cost them.

LOL. Ignorance... yeah... no body cares about the PS2... except all the people who still own one and buy tons of games for them.

The problem with DLC is that franchises will more than likely stay where people bought them, which is more the 360 than the PS3. So, GH4 and RB2 will see more downloadable content on the 360 because... that's where people own GH3 and RB, respectively.

I would agree, but the first was so great that for me it eclipses the sucktitude of the other two

Also is it me or are the guys in Fat Princess blatant Link (from Zelda) rip offs and RagDoll Kung-Fu sorta looks like it works exactly the same way as Kung-Fu Chaos.

Okay, I see where Sony has been throwing their money. Getting all those entertainment moguls along with multi-platform portability of digital videos surely cost them an arm, leg, two nuts, and half of their head.

Jeese, those are some movie ridiculous prices. It's absurd when you remove the hassle of physical production and going through retail chains to charge anywhere near as much. But people are dumb enough to accept that BS =<

Outside of the fact that Sony's store is the same price as the 360... You're not going to see netflix on the PS3 unless they pay MS money for the WMP driver technology and use. Netflix streams their content using WMV codecs, which is why it's partnered with the 360.
