Oh boy, it's one of these stories; I blame your rampant thirst for knowledge. (And mine too.) During EA's E3 2011 press conference, Insomniac Games will announce its latest title, which so happens to be an Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 affair.
Interestingly, the studio is saying this game has a new universe. Makes sense, considering the relationship with Sony. What's the next step for the team behind Resistance and Ratchet & Clank? We will find out soon enough -- EA's conference kicks off Monday at 12:30 pm PDT. Catch it on Spike TV or online.
I'd also like to point out that some Internet-going folks are angry that Insomniac is reaching out to a larger audience with this project. The eff is wrong with you guys? Can't we all have nice things?

"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
NO! How am I supposed to enjoy a game when other people on a different machine are playing it!?
We'll take this and you guys can have the MGS series back. Please, take it.
Today's Saturday, man. E3 starts Monday =D
It makes it easier for people to understand what I'm talking about when it's on consoles they own.
I thought they were owned by sony.
Though I do love Pixar for pushing Disney to do hand-drawn movies here and there. So they were good for something.
Also, calling it now. EA withholds some content and makes you join a special network to download Insomniac content.
I think you're confusing EA with Activision
actually that would be god awful for consumers, the point of multiple consoles existing is choice.
That method of thinking is why I regret getting a 360, not a exclusive to it's name I care about and my log records are proof.

You just proved my point. If every title was multiplatform, you wouldn't be regretting your choice now. And I wouldn't be cursing Epic for not being able to play Gears of War on my PS3. The 300 bucks some players spend on a new system just to be able to play an exclusive or two could have been used to buy more games, or go on vacation.
Exclusive titles are only good for the platform maker, not the consumer.
I'll reply to myself: Cool story bro
No, the point of multiple platforms existing is to make more money for whatever company makes the console, exclusives are a means of swaying an audience to your system and actually limit the consumer choice significantly.
I love you so dearly.
As a Sony fanboy myself I feel like I should point out to you this is Sony's mistake.
It's a little like the hubub Epic and Microsoft had a while back. Here's Insomniac, a loyal Sony developer who over the years have created several well known franchises that are very familiar to the Playstation brand, and who does Sony throw the big money at last year?? Media Molecule.....What the hell????
Don't get me wrong I love LBP, but to give a developer that kind of reward after just one game, over a developer who has been pretty dedicated to you over the years??? Talk about a spit in the face. It's a wonder Insomniac didn't jump ship entirely (Thank the gaming Gods they didn't).
Ah well...everything Insomniac is gold to me so I can't wait to see what else they have cooking. I'll just thank the gaming Gods it is a multiplat. That way I don't have to buy a new litterbox.
