But....you're already my hero for what you just wrote. It's what I, me, myself, wanted to read. I've been waiting for this game since forever. Either way, I am going to get it, next year can't come soon enough.
Seems like he is Dante after all.
Still I am not sure whether I want to go back to buttonpressing after enjoying Zelda: Skyward Sword's brilliant motion controls.
And I fucking love this Dante and the gameplay looks tight and awesome.
Can't wait for this game and hope it sold 2 million like Capcom expected or even more.
I'd say let's wait for DmC to come out and see what Youtube videos can be made from it first before we offer that as evidence. Not saying you'd be wrong to, but offering that video right now says nothing until we have people putting this one through the same kind of paces.
Then DMC3 came out :)
Now that is a damn good game right there, perhaps in my top 20 for ps2 games. But for some reason DMC4 felt like a lesser game to me.
I'll reserve my judgement on the game until the full product is out. I've only played two ninja theory games, heavenly sword was an alright game, but enslaved...FUCK YOU! I just hope any of the gameplay mechanics we have seen in enslaved are abscent from this game. Enslaved got stale waaay too quickly for me.
Is this the famous Jimopposite theory again?
Its Ninja Theory, Heavenly Sword Combat was clunky, Enslaved Combat was clunky. Guess what..
That's a big part of it for me. The look isn't major one way or the other for me. I wasn't attached to the previous series at all.
But Ninja Theory has yet to convince me that they can make great games. Heavenly Sword was mediocre and I didn't like Enslaved that much. The gameplay got very dull very fast.
So if his new DmC turns out great, it'll be the first game that I've really enjoyed from Ninja Theory.
I don't know, we'll see I suppose.
The series is in good hands whether the fanboys like it or not.
I'm loving the game simply for the art and the style that's pretty much standard for a Ninja Theory game - and hey, if they're using this opportunity to fix their track record with clunky, painful to play combat schemes then more fuckin' power to them!
I mean I don't need it to be a fucking masterpiece of control schemes and intricacy and whatnot - well, DMC fans might but fuck those cherrypicking fucks - I just need it to be fun.
Thanks for the preview, jimmy. Nice to hear something about this game that isn't complaining about the protagonist's hair.
From the demo I watched during E3 this looks to be a lot of fun. I'm glad to read the combat (thus far) is satisfying and intense. This one is on my list and I hope that it delivers and can add a new facet to Dante and the Devil May Cry series. Plus on a purely shallow note, I would love to see the people pouting about this pout even harder.
"God forbid a talented developer that understands how to make deep characters approach a series as cliche as DMC."
FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU =/= deep
"The series is in good hands whether the fanboys like it or not."
Oh god that was funny
Mind pointing me to those previews? Because every one I read has been positive if not glowing.
No lock-on, no taunt, no styles, no Royal guard, no jump canceling and only 30 fps?
Why is this called Devil May Cry again?
Because people want to mash buttons for flashy combos. Shiny grafix and shallow combat is enought to statisfy the masses.
