Sony, just moments ago, announced that CinemaNow, a movie streaming service along the lines of Netflix, will be coming to the PlayStation 3 very soon. How soon? Well, PlayStation CEO Jack Tretton didn't say, but I'll update this post with more info as soon as it comes in. The cool thing about CinemaNow, from what I can tell, is that you can buy and rent movies from the service. And there's no monthly fees. So everything is on a per movie basis, kinda like iTunes.
Also overheard during their E3 press conference, is that the PlayStation 3 is the leading platform for Netflix. So, uh, that's kinda cool, right?

Here's a quick update on that E3-timed Nintendo Direct we told you about recently. We know it will focus on future Wii U games, and will be streamed live here. And we now have a time: June 11 at 7 a.m. PT. That's pretty damned early.more
