E3 2007: Sony announces PS3 exclusives photo

Sony's just announced that NCSoft, the people behind Lineage, City of Heroes, and Guild Wars, will be creating several PS3-exclusive titles. No word as to what the titles are yet, but I can only expect them to be something big. Hell, even Guild Wars on the PS3 would be amazing.

In addition, they're working with Epic to modify the Unreal 3 engine for the PS3. So this means that Sony will have the heads up with Unreal Tournament III this year, as it'll be a PS3-first game.

Finally, they've also shown footage from Ubisoft's Haze, which I can't comment too much on, except that the footage looked really grainy. Ah well, I'll just blame G4 for that one. Now, they're showing some of the big multiplatform titles that'll be appearing on the PS3 (RE 5, Asssassin's Creed, Burnout Paradise, etc.)

UT3 timed exclusive? Or just outright exclusive?

If it's the latter, thats a really fucking stupid decision. UT should be 360/PC/PS3 and hell, maybe even cross platform.

I don't really mind though..it was one of my favorite boss battles from MGS2.

But seriously..the appearance of Vamp was unexpected.

timed exclusives on PS3 are not important to me since there are quite a few TRUE exclusives on 360 this holiday. The timed ones (Unreal, Haze) can wait until spring when I'm done playing through Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Halo 3, Blue Dragon, Call of Duty 4, Katamari, etc.

Same story, different day in my opinion. Was suprised that Microsoft didn't announce Petal Rear...maybe X07? Also I thought they'd lock down Resident Evil 5 as an exclusive, but it is multi-platform.

Worst E3 evaar. Bring back booth babes and true exclusives!

I was right. UT3 will be a PS3 timed exclusive for consoles. The PC release will be at the same time as PS3, and Xbox 360 will follow a couple months later.

never worry, look at v-figher it looks better on 360 with online play. The 360 is bulging with good looking titles, UT3 will be best on 360, count on it.

Just to clarify, UT3 will be coming to PC and PS3 at the SAME TIME. There has been a lot of confusion on this matter and it would be folly in the EXTREME for Epic to delay the game for their primary platform. The 360 release will come next year, but all of you Xboxers will probably be too preocupied with Halo 3 to notice ;-)

Plus, the UT3 engine could be used for many other games. Especially since it'll be co-optimized with Sony and Unreal.
