E3 2007: New Heavenly Sword videos; why are all ancient people British?

11:43 AM on 07.12.2007, Nex 25 comments

     Heavenly Sword

Aside from the unnecessary use of the British accent by the main characters -- possibly an homage to every movie set in Ancient Greece since the beginning of time -- these brand new Heavenly Sword clips make every part of me ooze glee. Even the parts that don't have glands capable of expressing glee have somehow started oozing it all over the place and ... honestly, I think I should go to the doctor ...

Hit the jump for the second clip.

Man we sure kicked British ass back then. But were we satisfied?
Hell no! We were so pissed and ready to get awesome that we decided to kick our own asses in the Civil War. That's how hardcore the United States is.

Cause the Brits are crazy mofo's who use to rule a lot of stuff and then everyone fought them for their independence and won!

Too bad the sound isn't synced up. It looks good, but the battle looks like it would get annoying all the time. Slow mo is only cool in moderation.

combat seems kinda slow for the number of enemies you'll probably be facing..

you know I don't think I would trust that Kai person to watch my back, she seems a little unstable if you know what I mean. Kind of like, you know, crazy. Oh and BTW both you British and Americans can shut up cause guess who kicked Americas Ass in 1812 yah that was the Canadians! (Ok the brits helped to but I mean its so much more funny saying that Canada beat the US in a war.)

The only english speaking ancient people had british accents and dwelt in britain. No american dialects until 19th century.

Yes and then the english language was ruined, I mean come on a culture that does not use the words crumpet or cheerio? That sucks!

This looks pretty cool, idk what games are actually going to be getting my money. There are too many to choose from. I think I'll get this and little big planet. Then waste the rest of my time in Home while I wait for Killzone2, MGS4, and FFXIII. Who knows, I'll probably pick up Lair and borrow Uncharted from one of my friends.

the title: 'why are acnient people british?' erm it might be becuase britain has owned most of the world since roman times, following through WW1 of the rule the indian empire, even now we still have australlia as our colony, thats why most ancient people are british ^_^
