Yes, the video looks amazing, and yes, the PS3 is getting some amazing titles coming to it, but after watching this whole thing I'm left with a hankering to play Panzer Dragoon. I guess there's just a certain part of me that thinks things were better in the old days before dragons looked like dragons. Back then we had to kickstart our Sega Saturns and only had twenty minutes of play time before the electricity in our sector had to be shut down to avoid detection by the roving bands of robotic squid high above.

Has there been much play time with Lair? It was my impression that the game looks great but that the gameplay is... lacking. Or, maybe it was the controls?
Why do game developers with so few creative ideas get to make such expensive games? Everything about this game in terms of visual design could have been done by a talented teenager armed with as "How to draw Ye Olde' Dragons and Castles the PROFFESIONAL way" art book.
The reason people keep saying the PS3 has good looking games that they don't want is because the graphics on said games are looking technically incredible, but stylisitcly are bland and unappealing.
Heavenly Sword is another one, except that time the book was "How to draw Hot Chicks with Swords".

Rogue Squadron 3 had amazing graphics, too, and we all remember how that one turned out..

Correct. I am only talking about graphics here. You can never be sure for a game's gameplay from just a trailer, no matter how awesome.
