We already knew that Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4 was a looker, no doubt about that, but this new footage from a live demonstration at Microsoft's press conference is absolutely breathtaking. Cries of "game of show" are being thrown about, and while we don't know about that just yet, it definitely has to be one of the best looking. We've attached the standard-definition footage of this demonstration above, but you owe it to yourself to hit up the big screen, high-definition version.

The series was already very cinematic in presentation, but this new footage is so close to a movie that it's almost unbelievable. Enjoy.

Oh my, sick graphics, cool gameplay, AND real life tactics... That was an amazing demo right there, I think CoD4 just ate Killzone 2's lunch!

This game looks incredible, but realistic it is not. If you want real life tactics you'll have to play Operation Flashpoint or ArmA: Armed Assault.

Man, Call of Duty 4 and Haze totally ate Halo 3 and Killzone 2's lunches.

Also, it's nice to see a war game where you actually follow orders!

Wow, I have never really been a fan of the Call of Duty franchise, but I think this is one game I will have to pick up.

@Deus I wasn't really implying that CoD4 looks to be more realistic than ArmA or Op Flashpoint... but the game play does look far more tactical than your standard FPS fare... far more tactical than any of the either CoDs.

@DuckCow ArmA is the sequel to Operation Flashpoint. While both games have their share of faults and glitches, they represent the most realistic combat simulators out there. You mostly work with a team and follow your leaders orders. On the realistic damage side, you can't eat 5 shots and live, or pickup a medpack to heal yourself. The missions go from assaulting a town, to doing a strafing run in a chopper, to sniping a convoy from a water tower.

If you haven't played Op Flashpoint or ArmA and you like realistic combat, check em out.

Looks more like the follow on to BF2 to me but less arcade like play. Nice.

I really want to know why people went nuts over KillZone 2 when this game totally kicks the shit out of it graphically? Not only graphically, but I have a feeling the gameplay is going to be far better as well. If I had a PS3, I'd just skip on it and get Call of Duty 4. Luckily, it's coming to 360. Halo and KillZone are completely overrated.

No offense trevor but every post I've seen you make recently has had the words "Halo" and "overrated" in it.

Show me on the dolly where the Master Chief touched you ;)

CoD 4 though. Thats some deliciousness right there.
