Okay, so maybe "pretty" isn't the word you'd use to describe a Resident Evil title. But hey, you have to admit, it's looking good. Screenshots from the newest Resident Evil don't reveal much about the title, but it looks promising, and at least it's a more serious entry for the new handheld, compared to most of Nintendo's more lighthearted games.
According to Cubed3 forums, Capcom's newest title in the series, Resident Evil Revelations, includes such favorites as Chris Redfield, and what appears to be his younger sister, Claire. The Website also speculates that the game may be set somewhere around the time of Resident Evil 5, though that remains to be confirmed.
I'm all up for some zombie hunting on the new system, and I can't wait to see what the 3DS is going to be able to pull off visually. And of course, the addition of the new PSP-esque analog stick seems perfect for an entry like this. Maybe we should have known something like this survival horror title would have been in the pipeline. Either way, this announcement is certainly piquing my interest in the 3DS, and I might just have to sell a little more of my soul to Nintendo and put out the cash for this one.

I gotta admit, the 3DS is looking pretty sweet. I owned a DS for a few months and played the thing a total of like 3 hours. It just wasn't for me. All I played was Tetris and Viewtiful Joe. Not that the games were bad just not great enough to steal my time from my other consoles. 3DS is looking mighty sharp though. I'm gonna watch out for this thing.
You realize the 3ds is the next generation of handhelds from nintendo and not a different version like the dsi right?
Anyway, those are some really impressive graphics, especially when you consider that this is a launch title.

I'm still waiting on that rumored Wii spinoff with minimal on-railsness I heard about in April...
because when i saw some of the other 3ds games they didnt look nearly as good as this.
But it definitely looks as good as, if not better, than wii- an amazing achievement for a handheld.
BTW is the rumor true that the screen is HD - capable on the 3DS?
(for those of you who use HD and better graphics interchangeably, HD just means it has a much higher number of pixels than standard def...)
