While wandering the E3 show floor, you will see a men touch women that he doesn't know. You will see this many, many times. You will see them touch these women for a few seconds, usually by wrapping his arm around her. Then, they both look into a camera, usually held by a giddy friend. Pictures are taken, men move on, and no one looks back. The women's facial expressions generally don't change at all throughout this process. Men come in, men leave, all in rapid succession, and the same smiles remain regardless. This strange phenomena is happening at all times at E3. It's becomes your new normal.
This made me wonder if this common occurrence would still seem normal if I changed up the formula bit. Instead of posing for a few seconds with this very tolerant and generally good spirited young woman, I decided to try to hold to pose out for as long as possible. ""Would that still seem normal to her?" I thought to myself "or would this obviously creepy process finally make it self evident if I alter the script ever so slightly?"
Hollie Bennett didn't approve, but I went for it anyway. Let me know what you think.
