Alright, here it is. You've been wanting to see Portal 2 since it was announced and now IGN has it for us. Three videos of all the Portal 2 action you can handle with commentary. Actually, that is a lie. We could all handle a whole lot more, but this is all we're getting right now so you better enjoy it.
Of course, the PlayStation 3 is the only way to get the ultimate console version of Portal 2, so that is what we are seeing in the videos. There is a lot of information in these three videos, none of which I want to spoil. Suffice to say that Valve looks to once again be doing some absolutely amazing things with the game. I think your jaw might drop at some of the puzzle possibilities that the videos present.
Check them out and then gush in the comments. A word of warning, though: if you want to be surprised by Portal 2 right off the bat I'd steer clear of these. I'm half regretting watching them already.

I'm fairly sure when Newall said 'best version' he intended on it meaning best console version. Valve games anywhere else but the PC have a tendency of not being as awesome as the PC version.
Yep. I'll second that, Forsaken Bacon. What I got out of the press conference was that out of all the consoles, Portal 2 is best on the PS3 (due to Steam cloud support). I expect the PC version to be identical to or better than the PS3 version.
I'm already so intimidated by the puzzles in this one. I didn't have any problems with the first, so I'm sure I'll be fine, but it's going to take me a lot longer than it took the guy demoing to get through those sections. Can't wait.
> I'm certain I'll Get the best Portal 2 experience for the PC
QFT. Portal on a console with a controller? No thanks.
I looked at the 3 videos over at IGN before and I was blown away by the stuff they added. Even though the copied the liqued stuff pretty radical from T.A.G., the way they are designing the levels is just amazing.
And the graphics are so much better than anything we have seen from the source engine. Valve did it again! :)
I expected innovation but not this much. The paint that effects the properties of a surface is an amazing idea. My hype meter for portal 2 is now at 11/10.
I said it on the forums but I'll repeat it here. The voice acting on that personality sphere is dreadful. I hope that isn't what they stick with for the final product.
@RIMoonlight: What he actually said was the "best version on any console"; so, yeah Valve are well and truly still behind the PC versions as their flagship versions; having said that getting Steamworks running on the PS3 is still a fantastic bonus for that version, and for Valve PS3 releases going forward. Especially after the harsh words Gabe had about Sony earlier.
lol @ everyone complaining about the PS3 version being the best console version.
The PC version WON'T be the best version purely because of Mods. I don't give a flying rats ass about mods because most of them are crap anyway. As long as the base game is of the exact same polish as the PC version, then they are both identical.
Saying the PC version is better because of mods is like saying you're taller than someone because you've got a stick glued to upright to the top of your head. It just doesnt count in my eyes.
Looks AMAZING. I can honestly say this is top 5 most anticipated for next year, at least in my opinion. The new ways of getting around puzzles look like so much fun.

Not completely true. What Gabe said was that it would be the best version ON ANY CONSOLE.
The PC version will still be the best one.

Also, everyone needs to shut up about Half-Life. It will blow your mind when it's released but until then relax.
PORTAL 2 MEDIA BLACKOUT IS GO!
