When I saw the 3DS announcement at this morning's Nintendo E3 conference, the first thing I immediately thought was, "Man, the Paper Mario series would sure work good on the 3DS!" Apparently, Nintendo was thinking the exact same thing, because they've quietly announced that a new Paper Mario game will be coming to the 3DS among a smorgasbord of other first-party titles. The first screenshots really just show how beautiful this is going to be, and they've captured the Paper Mario style perfectly.
So far, we don't have any other info besides that, but really, that's all I need to get excited about the 3DS. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go make sure Chad hasn't passed out due to the excitement ...

I am brewing with excitement for my favorite TBS game.
While ports are cheap and I don't mind, the console is starting to feel like a PSP. Not a bad thing, but being a PSP didn't do much for the PSP.
Course, Out-psp-ing the PSP while still keeping everything that makes it a DS would make a one-handheld future, which has a bunch of advantages.
Also, I was kind of expecting gamecube ports. My old DS could have played N64 ports had they been made. Still, can't complain about Paper Mario.
I LOVE old Paper Mario, it's practically a day one purchase.

Nintendo kicked E3's ass, especially after their rather lackluster 2008 and 2009 showings. Love the 3DS so far.
