I geuss that's the push I need to no longer play the COD games. I prefer my ps3 for online play as it is free, but this whole timed exclusive can suck a fat one. Oh well kz3 is a Sony exclusive. I'll just be looking forward to that. Way to lose fans activision.

They totally waited for the applause on that one, and nobody seemed really that excited. It's nice for MS money-wise but it doesn't mean shit to us.

eh, lets see if Treyarch delivers with Black Ops first, personally could not stand COD 3 or WaW. The Inifinty Ward guys always delivered a better game IMO. COD 2 is still my favorite WW2 game, and MW2 is leaps and bounds one of the best shooters last year. Seriously pulling for the Treyarch guys to blow everyone away and show the naysayers like myself, they are just as capable as IW putting out the next great shooter.

I know they think this looks awesome for them, and I'm sure that it is in a practical sense, but it still makes both the publisher and the console manufacturer look like money grubbing pricks who put money before the interest of the customers, then rub it in their faces. It's not something that should gain them respect.

Oh no. I guess PS3 gamers will just have to fall back on the other 20 or 30 FPS games that roll out. How can this even be big news for the 360 when Halo Reach, and Gears 3 are on the way? I'd take either one of those over COD any day.

Surely if they had managed to get Call Of Duty exclusive, or even some exclusive DLC this would be news?

Xbox Live has been getting Call Of Duty DLC first for a while...

Maybe I'll be proven wrong, but it feels like CoD is at the wrong side of it's peak by now.

not to pull the whole apathy thing but why is anyone excited for a game that took less than a few years to make and is already announcing DLC when it's a clear ploy for money coming from one of the most money hungry companies in the industry today. It's a good day when a Call of Duty game actually garners my personal interest again. I will never see why anyone finds joy in the multi-player, let alone the singe player. I'm gonna stick to being excited for other games.

... actually I'm just about done with the Call of Duty franchise. They may still be rentals for the single player campaign, but the multiplayer died for me with the most recent game. :(

Exactly my thought. It's not like the people any individual will be playing with will have access to it before them, nor can I imagine too many people foaming at the mouth for new COD maps. There really isn't that much variety to them beneath the surface.

what I don't get about the announcement is that there was an applause, no one should be glad dlc for PC and ps3 gets delayed because of some stupid deal.

Better than Kinect, but it still doesn't make up for genuinely good news for the 360. It's like they're totally committed to having no single or second party games worth buying outside of Rare, and Rare's games haven't been popular lately.

I think their actions now are costing them sales in the next generation, just as Activision is losing future sales on franchises they haven't made yet because they'd rather ride COD/Guitar Hero into the ground.

If SONY actually put more money into making PSN perform better this would change....but I am not paying extra money for just Cross Game Voice chat and PS2 games (which should play on all PS3s not just launch ones).
