Hopefully the profit from this will fund one of their other/upcoming projects. Really though, Microsoft hasn't come close to convincing me to buy this rather than spend an extra $50 for a Wii (which alread has a library of excellent games).
The games depicted in these pictures are certainly not for me or most other destructoid readers. They're like mini-games to be honest, like the Wii Sports stuff - simplistic enough to appeal to 5-10 year olds, or the very, very elderly.
Kinetic just isn't for you or me. Neither was Wii Sports. I'll admit that Wii Sports was fun for a short while, but generally after about 2 hours, people get bored with it.
Kinetic could be used for so much more - unfortunately, "hard-core" games can't really use it. Kinetic can't replace a normal controller, and I struggle to visualize how you would play GoW with it.

Sorry - I keep calling it Kinetic instead of Kinect. I suppose that will be a problem for some people.
