Kinect for Xbox 360 is launching worldwide this holiday, beginning with North America on November 4th, 2010.
The launch lineup will include over 15 titles, including Kinect Sports, Kinectimals, Kinect Joy Ride, EA Sports Active 2, Kinect Adventures, Dance Central, and a few others.
It's compatible with all existing Xbox 360s, including the just-announced slim model, though there's no word on pricing just yet.

I don't think anyone will NEED to "counter" Kinect's release...
The consoles been out for years. they don't need to inform you before you make a decision to buy a console.

Microsoft and its 3rd parties should be ashamed. I knew they were going to copy the Wii, but even a Mario Kart clone?
Nintendo's creative teams had to be laughing their collective asses off somewhere. Stay tuned to Nintendo's conference tomorrow where Nintendo will announce what Microsoft will be doing 3 years from now.
360 is completely out of steam. Next E3 you'll see teasers for the next gen Xbox. They have nothing left in this gen.
/Praising the MOVE just so RegginBolas will buy a Kinect
1. They're adjusting it from the $150 price point because of the outrage.
2. It's $150 or more.
Either way, a slimmer model with WiFi is a very smart 'MOVE'... oops.
Alot of the things we saw today are things that cannot be done on Wii or Playstation Move.
I'll be honest, after last night's jungle love madness I was expecting something horrible. But I'm actually impressed.
My only question is, what if you are watching ESPN on your XBOX, and a commercial comes on that says XBOX and some other word that triggers KINECT to execute some command. If SONY is smart they'll make commercials strictly based on KINECT voice commands. It would be hilarious.
Move and Kinect are similar in that they are considered "motion controlled", but the implementation is far different, and truth be told, I'd say Move looks like more fun. Also, to your comment:
"Yeah fuck ya'll. I'm buying this shit just so I can proudly say I never caved in to the Wii."
You deserve a congratulatory piece of food of some kind, for this gem.
