I just threw my hands up in the air in joy! Nintendo has announced that one of the first games for the 3DS will be Kid Icarus: Uprising. The game looks drop-dead gorgeous and appears to exactly designed for great gameplay in 3D.
Pit returns and his ability to fly short distances does as well. The character design seems to be taken from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and he sure did talk a lot during the trailer. In fact, everyone seemed to talk a lot for a Nintendo game.
No other info was really given, but damn, if that is what 3DS games are going to look like we are in for one hell of an awesome portable. We heard hints of this earlier last year -- Nintendo has acquired a majority stake in Japanese developer Sora Ltd. to make this title happen.

You also have to take into effect that the video was also stretched out. Its meant to be played on a much smaller screen.

Need a 3DS. NOW.
So, I won't be able to afford a 3D TV for awhile, but I'll bet I'll be able to fork over for this 3DS - so this will likely be THE system to bring 3D to the masses.

Have a strong feeling this will be better than the closely related Sin & Punishment series.
