E3 10: Hideo Kojima is a man of the people

3:00 AM on 06.14.2010 // R3Y GUTI3RR3Z

While the industry huddled together "to experience" Microsoft's Cirque du Soleil Project-Natal Kinect media event, the PlayStation blog spent the day with their fans in downtown Los Angeles for a community event. Over 250 attendees snagged sweet PlayStation swag including everything from colorful shirts to autographed posters of Kevin Butler himself.

The biggest surprise of the night was an appearance by Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear series,  handing out autographed "Spirited Green Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Entertainment Packs" to four random winners, including the uber-patient community member who waited first in line for several hours.  Needless to say, people went apeshit.  The cheers and fist pumps didn't end there -- A limited edition copy of the new Uncharted 2: Among Thieves art-book (which was signed my the entire art team) was presented by Naughty Dog's Arne Meyer to one extremely lucky winner, turning the famed $300 price-tagged collector's edition art-book. Priceless.

In other news, some robot guy also showed up.  Never heard of him.
