Let me fill you in on my fiancee's reaction to the news that a Glee version of Karaoke Revolution was coming out.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Let me fill you in on my reaction.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Yea, we're both total Gleeks and we're damn proud of it. Judging from the video above, which shows off Karaoke Revolution: Glee in all its gleekiness, we're going to be pretty happy pretending we are in the midst of a show choir. I know that most of you, even those of you too manly to admit it, are really excited too.
Let's give mad props to our guys on the show floor, Tactix and wedgewu, for choosing a damn challenging song to demo for us. I think we can all agree that they rocked it hard. Now back to daydreaming about Mr. Schuester and his perfectly quaffed hair.

haha I love you guys going through the song list, "no. No." XDDD I wished I was there to sing with you guys!! ;;___;; I'm so buying this game~! Yay for being a gleek!
I will never understand what people see in Glee, as a show.
This game, on the other hand, I will never try to understand. Not for it's connection to Glee; don't get me wrong, I didn't watch that video and write this comment just to hate. But judging by the interface to the seemingly random clips from the show filling in the background while you sing, I don't see anything about this game that improves on the Karaoke Revolution formula, which has already been very uninspired.
But even as a cash in, I don't see why anyone would want this. Does the show already have a album with all the covers on it that you can buy? What's the draw here? Are fans of this show seeing something here that I don't?
I still don't understand this show or it's appeal. I do understand the appeal of singing games, and can understand that this sort of cross-branding makes perfect sense. Just never tell the rest of my family this exists, and I will have no reason to complain about it.
I will however, complain about the word "Gleek". I've never seen anyone call themselves a Lostling or Heromosexual, and I feel that this show should not be exempt from the "No Stupid Fan-Names" rule.
The "eeeee's" are totally messing with the front page of the toilet edition it happened with the Atatatatat a couple of pages back too lol, what's going on?
Glee makes me cringe. I watched one episode to see what all the fuss was about, and while it's pacey, it's also painful. Twee teens and their singing... my what a fantabulous setting lovies.
@KingSigy: There are several songs per episode. Out of one season, they've got three albums and 1 EP. That's more than enough material to be working with.
I'd buy this cash-in... me and my friends love Singstar. Do 2 players have to sing all parts (male solo, female solo & chorus), all the time? I hope that's an option that can be turned off.
@GEMPadre036: I've actually heard the term "Losties" for people who like Lost, and it's not like devout followers of TV shows have never given themselves a fandom collective name. Self-proclaimed "Gleeks" simply follow the tradition established by "Trekkies," "Browncoats," and "WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME!rs." (No, that last one isn't real.)
i enjoy glee as a decent dramedy with a great ensemble cast (jane lynch FTW!) and some good music. This wonderful queen song (god save em) is the best song i've heard on the show so far...
all in all it seems like the young actors are actually pretty awesome singers but there is also a nasty stink of autotune all over that show...it's BY FAR my least favorite aspect of it. If i wanted to hear robots sing i'd f#@% a blender.

My gf would totally love this.
Last nigh Mrs sc (once I'd finished playing some mag) was all like, "ooh I've got some glee to watch!"
I was like, "i'm going out."
You guys do know what gleek is, don't you?

clearly you haven't seen an episode.
But yeah, I love Glee. A lot. My only regret is that season 2 won't have more of Jonathon Groff. I'm so jealous of his voice.
