As reported earlier this week, Sony announced and demonstrated their motion controlling technology for the PS3. While the news, by Internet standards, is now eight billion years old, we still have the video coverage from Sony's conference for you to peruse.

Yay!

So much potential for all this motion control, it boggles the mind

Nice, augmented reality. Loved how they show you holding rendered objects in your hands with the controls.

This is going to be really awesome if they utilize it correctly.

Really excited to see what comes from this.

Sony really did a great job this E3 , even with the PSP Go leak!

This and Natal are both very impressive. Now if only we could combine the two...

This was really cool, but the Sony fanboy made it kind of irritating to watch. He sounds defeated by his impotent rage. I mean, who cares if Sony does motion control one way and the other consoles do it entirely different ways? All three consoles are obviously going to be around for quite awhile, so its not entirely impossible to save the money eventually to own the three, if you're really curious about their different technology. Of course, a PS3 price drop would make me happy, personally. But I don't hate Sony, I just thought their early marketing moves were such a humorous disaster. Of course, I'm on my third 360 and my Wii unsurprisingly collects dust until I get hit by nostalgia and play LoZ:OoT all the way through again, etc. So - its not like I'm blind to the weaknesses of any of the systems.

I've never like Sony in the least, but I have to admit, that does look pretty awesome. Since everyone's copying everyone else, hopefully Nintendo or Microsoft incorporate this type of thing to their consoles... I wouldn't mind being link with the Master Sword in my hand like that, I mean.

I think sony hit the sweet spot between natal and the Wii cause you wanna hold something but better then the wii..

With that being said I'm still not a fan of any of them i'm always gonna prefer the joypads...

Now that I've seen all of what Sony and MS are doing, its going to make the next few years interesting. How many third parties will bite should make or break it. Sony themselves have to make a mark with it to convince them, but its positive that dev kits are already out there for PS3's motion stuff.

I didnt want Sony to bring this out, because then people would just think "What a copy of Wii" And Sony wil loose reputation, but I didnt really understand it well, this is much better than Wii, Wii was crap when it came out, but this is amazing!!!!
