It is a longstanding tradition among games journalists that whenever Monkey Island is mentioned, two things must happen: first, the journalist must react with intense joy that one of the greatest adventure game series of all time is once again in the limelight.
Secondly, they must attempt to make some sort of pirate-themed pun. I'm short on time, however, and must rely on you to mentally insert a phrase like "arrrre you ready for more Monkey Island" or "Monkey Island screenshots depict swashes being buckled" while looking at these screenshots and concept art from Telltale's new episodic adventure game series, Tales of Monkey Island.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

ARRRRRRGININE!
To bad it was only like a month ago, or I'd say this should come out on Arrrrbor Day!
If it were a movie, it would have to be rated AAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
Enough said. Need any more sir?
To be honest: I ARRgree. I'm actually disappointed that Telltale are the ones taking MI on. While I couldn't care less about Sam & Max, I'd prefer MI to be one good-looking full length adventure. Here's hoping they don't get their grubby mitts on Full Throttle.
Almost forgot: ARRRRGGH!
"Death."
