E3 09: Perfect Dark on Xbox LIVE Arcade? Yep, it exists photo

Thank you, Twitter, for once again spoiling the many surprises of this year's E3. In tonight's edition, we look at a tweet from one Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb in which the existence of Perfect Dark on Xbox LIVE Arcade is finally addressed.

In the booth. Just saw Perfect Dark on XBLA running 1080p. It is coming to XBLA this winter. Free theme coming tomorrow!

That's right, ladies and gentlemen, a free theme. And an HD-ified Perfect Dark on XBLA? That's cool too. The rumors about the port have been going on for so long that I've lost most of my interest, sadly. Perhaps we'll hear more about GoldenEye on LIVE Arcade in the near future?

At any rate, our boys and girls on the field will certainly have more news on the subject.

YEEEES! Perfect Dark was the last FPS that ever appealed to me. I still play it all the time with a cousin when he visits once or twice a year. I remember spending days upon weeks upon months playing Perfect Dark multiplayer. Day one purchase for me for sure, can not fucking wait.

This is awesome news. I loved this on the N64. Now they just have to kick up the framerate and add 16-player online play and I'll be sold.

Giant Bomb talked about this a month or so ago because several people had achievements for the game, with a different name but all Perfect Dark themed icons.

The multiplayer features in this game still blow away a lot of FPS games today, especially on consoles. I mean, do ANY console FPS games outside Timesplitters support bots (with hilarious neurosis) now? Also I wonder if they'll fix the drug effect from the tranq gun carrying over from when you die. God it was fun pumping someone full of that stuff.

Deadset, E3 is over to me. As far as I'm concerned, MS paid 300 million for this game. Called it years ago, but still, getting excited about this game for the 2nd time. Online Challenges, Online Counter-operative (without splitscreen to ruin it).. This stuff better be there but surely it will.

Lol this is like sacrilege or something! how can one of Nintendo's best sellers end up on the 360? Oh wait, I guess that already happened with Banjo. I'll definitely get this for my 360, but I'll feel really bad for my Wii while doing it lol. Until those beautiful 1080 graphics convert me.

Isn't Perfect Dark GoldenEye with a different thing really? From what I remember the gameplay is the same except Perfect Dark had interesting weapons.

There is really nothing special about these games anyway, I'd rather just play Modern Warfare 2, Halo ODST, Killzone 2, MAG, or The Conduit.
