E3 09: Is Xbox.com ruining all of Microsoft's big reveals? photo

So, remember how Brad Nicholson just posted a story about how the mysterious Halo: Reach now has its own achievement page on Xbox.com?

Well, apparently it is not that just game. There are a ton of brand new achievement listings on the Web site that, unfortunately for Microsoft (but fortunately for bloggers), pretty much ruin, what I am sure will be, the big game reveals at Microsoft’s press conference in a couple hours.

Listings for Alan Wake, Forza 3, Shadow Complex, Joy Ride, and The Saboteur all now appear on the console’s official Web site. Interestingly enough, when searching for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, this screen popped up.*

What do you think? Big slip by someone at Microsoft? Or an interesting plan to get people talking before the company’s big E3 presentation?

*That last MGS4 one is totally a fake by our very own Adam Dork. Don’t freak out!

You'd think Microsoft would know how to use the internet better.

Well, maybe not.

Oh dear god I now no longer need to watch the conference.

Especially if the 5-minute delay was so that Eminem could announce DJ-Hero. I will quite possibly turn the damn thing off if that's the case.

you people know that you can rent a ps3 along with the game and not have to plunk down the $400+ for it together to own.

enough with the wanting a 10 disc MGS4 set

Announcements are for bums.

Everyone on earth should get an email about whats going on in the industry the second someone decides it.

I'd love Mgs4 on the 360. I wouldn't actually buy it, since I'm not a fan of MGS. but the fanboy tears from the ps3 camp would be hilariously fun to watch,

*ToeMastro: most rental places I know of that let you rent a ps3 generally ask for you to have a desposit of at least half the system's price just to be allowed to rent it. sure, you get it back when you return it..but meh.

Do you guys really care if they leak information earlier than originally planned? I mean who cares?

@Chronic Logic,
I don't care ... I'm just surprised Microsoft doesn't! It just seems odd that they would let this slip mere hours before they were going to make the announcement with all the fancy lights and smoke machines and stuff. :)
