Wow, I am impressed. The Halo ODST trailer makes it look like you'll actually care about the main characters and about the story.
The new abilities look hot, the pistol looks cheap (hah!) and ODST does look better than Halo 3 graphically. There are some weird textures issues that pop in the trailer which is kind of surprising that it made it through in the video. Still, can't wait for this.

Alright, I'm not much of a Halo fan, but with Nathan Fillion and (unless my ears deceive me) Adam Baldwin providing voicework, I might just have to buy this.
If Halo had looked like this from day one, I'd play it more. I've always found it hard to connect with the Master Chief, but a more human grunt I have no problem with.
Doesn't impress me , it looks really boring honestly. Personally I've always thought Halo was fail since the first one , I'm sure everyone else will enjoy it though so right on!
As an animator, I can't believe that Bungie still hasn't polished up their animations. They're using the same loops since Halo 1 and they're ugly as f***! Plus they spared themselves all the job of facial animations by giving all their heroes friggin opaque visors. Lame Bungie, lame.
I do believe I hear Malcolm Reynolds/Captain Hammer/Nathan Fillion, Wash/Alpha/Alan Tudyk and Jane/Casey/Adam Baldwin all in that one clip... I'm not really a Halo fan, but I'll support anything FireFly related.
Wow. Outside of a slightly more advanced HUD this looks NO different from Halo 3 at all. Even as a fan of the Halo series, I'm at a so-so level with this game.
I agree with Zeag. I can't believe this level of quality of acceptable. didn't bungie used to be an actual <game developer> ? I remember pre-xbox halo 1, back when they were pioneering with IK in their animation/bone systems. this thing looks 10 years old, with some new shaders slapped on to it.

It's great to see that Bungie's done re-hashing the first game, and is on to making some new content. Shit, I don't care it's pretty much the same game as the last three, at least it looks different. Oh, and there aren't any fucking jungles.

I used to be excited about games, but these days make me sad. Except for a few titles that were nice (fallout 3 etc., even though that wasn't the real sequel to part 2). As far as I'm concerned, progress has stopped since Hl2.
I loved Halo, but... what is this? They've taken out Master Chief, and replaced him with another super-soldier. I know the character is supposed to be some faceless human grunt that shows the humanity that lurks beside the one man army of MC, but seeing as the regular soldiers were dying in droves through all three FPS games, doesn't it seem weird that the one you control is now super-powered enough to go one-man against the covenant?
