It's 2:00 A.M. and we're still talking about gaming news from the Microsoft E3 press conference. The coverage is finally beginning to wind down, thankfully, but we are only now getting to showing off the new Forza 3 trailer. What gives?
The Forza guy is gone, presumably partying late into the night, and I am not him; that's what gives! Turn 10, alongside every other videogame company bringing out sequels this year, is going for bigger, badder, and even sexier. Like prior Forza titles, user-generated content will be a focal point, but you have got to have a place to drive your slick new cars, right?
Forza 3 brings 100+ tracks to the table, has a ridiculous 400 cars from 50 different manufacturers, includes more than 200 events for single-player, and allows for customizable multiplayer game rules with an all-new editor.
Also, it's goddamn gorgeous. To rephrase that in a more eloquent and nerdy way, the game has 10 times the amount of polygons as its predecessor. If my eyes could talk, they would probably say "wow."
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

I hope that by 100+ tracks, they don't mean 5 tracks with 20 different variations on them. I never did finish the first game because I got so bored doing the same tracks over and over again.
I'm digging it. I'm not about to say the graphics are unspectacular, nor am I going to say they're amazing, but it's damn good in comparison to Forza 2. I'd say they look about on par give or take with GT5:Prologue, hopefully we get a release date on that later today.
What i dont get is that we have had Forza 2 and now 3 but still no GT5, better be amazing or il cry....not that i own a ps3....il just get Forza..looks pretty :)
I need a PS3 so I can compare F3 and GT5 side by side. And also another HD TV. I suspect that GT5 will lose if Prologue is anything to go by, those environments had some jaggies.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Certainly didn't make me go "wow" at all.
Also, I don't think the GFX have much of a wow factor either - doesn't look that far removed from Ridge Racer haha.
I'm fairly certain it's another Stompbox remix (the third time I've heard it, after MCLA and NFS:UC)
Agreed. TBH I preferred the NFS Shift vid....
Also, I can't frigging wait for this game. It's going to be awesome.
also pretty curious about SHIFT... though I'm more into F3 :-)
Seriously tho, I have been waiting for the new GT for a while and I welcome the new Forza. It may not just hold me over, it may take me over.
