In what may have been the quietest surprise of this morning's press conference, Nintendo announced a brand new game in the incredibly underrated Golden Sun series for the Nintendo DS. As I was sitting there, I think I got an erection. Now, is it inappropriate to say the word "erection" on a front page post? Probably. But I got one, so I feel it is only fair to share this news with you.
Check out the gallery from some gorgeous screens and the above first trailer of the game in motion.
From the screens and trailer, it looks like Golden Sun DS could be a remake of the original, but those details are still unknown at this time. Either way, it's nice to see this amazing role-playing game come to the Nintendo DS. What do you think? Are you excited about this surprising news?
Now, back to debating how to describe what happened to my lower area during the Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: The Other M reveals ...
Some warm things happened in my lower areas when all three of those were announced. Unfortunately, no demo for Golden Sun on the show floor. It's more of an interactive movie.
I was pretty surprised at the news. At first I thought it was just going to be a new Dragon Quest game until he mentioned "10 Years". After that I said Maybe It's Golden Sun lol... And I was right.
So sexy. I especially enjoyed the Dionysus summon. Not to mention the sweet 3D-ness!! Anyone think it looks similar visually to the pokemon games on the DS?
Also, I think it's safe to say that's Isaac... I wonder who else will be returning.
This is going to be so great. I'm going to have fun playing with all of the new Psynergy powers. I hope the puzzles are at least as clever as the ones in Golden Sun: The Lost Age.
Brass: Really? Good. I'd love to see a new team tackle whatever happened to the world after the rise of the Golden Sun. I wonder what kind of references they'll throw in to the original characters?
YES! i always wondered why this wasn't a more popular series. it's like a final fantasy game, except with actually interesting dungeons. or vice verse a zelda game that's a real RPG.
I wonder if they can make it so plugging in your old GBA cart will affect the DS game. That would be...something.
Oh neat. I got tired halfway through the second game because of random battle boredom syndrome, but it was a pretty nice series, and really one of a kind on the GBA.
OMFG i havent logged in in fracken months, but this news if far to epic to ignore. I came seventeen times during the trailer. I the first two were so beyond epic... im going to cum again oh fuuuuuu...
At the beginning it looks like just another PSX-looking DS 3D craptacular. But the smooth transition to different angles on the sprites really sells it. Might make me upgrade to a DSi since that garbage dpad on the Lite will kill my thumb before I'm halfway through.
@BlackSunEmpire You where also given a very long code that you could type into the sequal to transfer over the states from the last game, so they could stil include the cartridge transfer for older DS models and still keep the password function for DSi.
WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS BOUNTY, OH LORD! My 100% real reaction during the vid on the nintendo channel: 00:01-00:09 what is this thing... 00:10-00:14 it can't be it? 00:15-00:16 "speechless of pure amazement" 00:17 - rest of the vid HOLY ADGDFGHASHFH WHAT AGHHCGJXDGDHDSDH YEAHH! AGHDFHASHCVCJ! end of quote... better sound than in nintendo channel...
