I've made it clear in the past that I'm pretty much obsessed with any and everything having to do with Atlus' Trauma Center series. A few days before this year's E3 kicked off, Atlus announced Trauma Team for the Nintendo Wii, an all new adventure which allows you to play as any one of six characters working in a bustling hospital.
When I visited Atlus at this year's E3, I had a chance to sit down with PR extraordinare Aram Jabbari and find out a little bit more about what to expect from Trauma Team when it comes out in 2010. Hint: it's going to be a little less over-the-topand more realistic than what you're used to. Does this mean I don't get to fling my hand dramatically in the air and yell "Let's begin the operation!" anymore?
I'm for less over the top/more realism if it's in the right place. The charecters need to stay as wacky as ever, but I'd far rather do more real procedures then hunt down GUILT. Either way, super excited for this!
@Cadtalfryn: Wow, your name is hard to type properly. Anyway, Second Opinion may be the best starting point for a Trauma virgin, but it's a port of the first DS game, where New Blood is apparently an original work under the same formula. Team looks like it's going to deal with a number of procedures so that's pretty neat in of itself.
Rhodri: Well, 5 new doctors. The Forensics nurse is someone you should recognize from TC: Second Opinon.
Cadtalfryn: You should try out Trauma Center: New Blood first. That way you can figure out how difficult the game is, and then prep yourself for this one.
They see it as a completely new game rather than a new addition to the series? I'm still trying to wrap my head around that one.
Also, that guy third from the right on the Trauma Team banner, he screamed "evil" when I first saw him, and now he's a prisoner-turned-doctor? This is really starting to get bizarre, but I'm still loving it so far.
2010! No!
I can't wait that long... Actually, maybe I can. I played so many games at E3 and many of them were actually cool!
There's not enough money, not enough time this year.
Trauma Center can wait. 2010 is perfect. =)
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Unless you guys have suggestions for other past entries in the series?
Too bad I am criminally terrible at these games.

I for one am more than tired of low budget hospital sims without getting anything in return.
