E3 08: Spore figures spotted at E3 photo

[Originally posted at Tomopop]

While the quality of these pictures is not up to the usual standards we hold dear at Tomopop, I thought all of you might enjoy a sneak peek at these custom Spore figures we saw at E3 in the EA meeting room. Standing about 6 inches tall each, the figures were created just for E3. Of course, I couldn't help but wonder if gamers would like to have the creatures they make in Spore immortalized in toy form as well, so I skipped off to ask an official EA spokesperson.

Luckily, my curiousity paid off -- EA confirmed that there will be toys available in the future, although there were no dates or prices available. Hopefully you will be able to make the creatures you create in the game, the way you can with your World of Warcraft characters. However, it's likely that they will be equally as expensive, considering that they would be custom pieces. Would you buy one? From the looks of these, they could be worth the extra cash.

These "make your own action figure" elements to new video games are gonna have intense consequences on my bank account.

DO WANT. this is something that piqued my interest a looooong time ago when Will was jokingly talking about how they got a 3D printer at the office and found they could print 3D representations of spore creations. i can't wait to have a figurine of my dick creature standing in front of his dick tank and dick skyscraper with his dick UFO suspended above him... all right next to my computer monitor while i'm conquering the galaxy in the PC game.

Pretty cool looking actually! If you could indeed take the designs you control from the game and make them sculpturized, well that would do a little something called make me cream my pants!

guess Im not familiar with the Warcraft toys, how much are they?

If you can do that thing where you make your own and then you buy a figure of that exact creature I would buy HUNDREDS of these little bastards.
