At their press conference this afternoon, Sony made it a point to show that they aren't abandoning the Playstation 2 just yet. In addition to having 130 titles slated for release this year, they have announced a new "family entertainment pack" for the aging system. And, to show how serious they are, they've tossed in LEGO Batman.
The bundle will retail at $149.99 and, in addition to the game, will also come packaged with Justice League: The New Frontier on DVD. PS2 is still a really strong seller for Sony and I'm sure they want to milk it for every dime it's worth even now that the PS3 has started to find its legs. Hit the jump for a video featuring some of Sony's upcoming games on PS2.

I see PS2 games selling well, not sure about the console. I know tons of people with PS3s that buy the less than stellar games in PS2 format for the much lower price as well as the niche games (Persona 3 & 4, Harvey Birdman).
why..... WHY???????
A "Hooded Out" PS2 is the most hardcore-est console you can own.Where else are you going to play awesome obscure Japanese only 2D fighters and RPGs????Duuuude.
...Why?

I actually still want to get that white PS2. I really wish Sony would just lower the price to $99 already.
