E3 08: New Prince of Persia trailer is simply beautiful

This may actually be my first Prince of Persia game (other than the mobile ones).

This thing is soooo pretty. I hope they keep this kind of atmosphere and feel for the actual game. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

the demo itself is to be presented much later tonight. I hope you guys enjoy the shit out of it because the last few weeks have been hard as hell for a few of us!

Everybody is keeping a close eye on the reactions (though mostly at other sites / forums / places). I think I'm the only one who's trolling dtoid. Up to here, comments have ranged between "the art is awesome" to "wtf cellshaded, why they made the game 2d, they're lazy". Those ones are facepalm-worthy and *really* uninformed. At least I know the whining here will most likely be legitimate. :P

Speaking of which, Ben got a kick out of that "With tasteful breasts" header from about a month ago.

Holee... wow. Gameplay looks standard for PoP, which isn't a bad thing. Art design is delicious though, loving the cel-shaded characters. Somehow they managed to make "brown" feel colourful in a world too. And I would assume this means the game will be co-opable? If so, winrar.

Yeah, it reminded me of Ico, too.

It looks great, and really fun. It doesn't really look Persian anymore though, but oh well, I guess. I'm sure I'll pick it up.

haha, I remember that heading. I also remember agreeing that they are tastefully sized and did think it when I saw this trailer too.

She is beautiful, it is a shame she gets used as a baseball bat at one point!

That is everything I hoped for and more in the next Prince of Persia game. I'm switching back to my old avatar for this one.

Looks groovy. I got the Ico vibe too, which I think is a good thing. Love the greens and spring colored areas which is a bit of a departure from other PoP games.

Its wierd the screenshots from magazines, are actually what you see in the footage. This is on the list.

My interest in this title just went from 6 to midnight.

Before I was kinda skeptical and meh, now the art style looks perfect. Hopefully the play will be as good as the look.

Game looks nice, but Sigur Ros?? One of my favorite groups. As commercial-resistant as they are, I can't believe they Ubisoft cheapen one of their songs like that. Then again, they did appear on the soundtrack to the pretentious abortion, Vanilla Sky. :(

Wow that really really looks great. I'm going to try and not get my hopes up since Ubi has let me down so many times since Sands of Time.
