This latest trailer for Dead Space entitled "Loved Ones" (which can be found after the break) is the creation of Saw director James Wan.
It's not every day you see a film director delve into videogame trailers, but Wan says he's a "massive fan of space horror stories" and that he was "blown away by the cinematic visuals and philosophy behind [Dead Space's] story."
The trailer itself does a fine job of showing off the game's creatures without revealing too much in the process. Whether it be a movie or a game, monsters are almost never as scary once you get a good look at them.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

I can't wait for this game, I really hope it doesn't disappoint. Cool trailer. Although I think I may be the only person left with electricity who hasn't seen any of the Saw movies.
This trailer has simply confirmed the awesomeness that is this game. There has to be at least 10 games that I am interested in that are coming out in October.
@Keaglez, Just in case you're serious, I think he means that Bioshock in space kind of already exists. It's called the System Shock series, which Bioshock is the spiritual successor to. They were designed by Ken Levine as well and released in the nineties.
or he could be referencing doom...which is the first thing that came to mind when i saw the first trailer for dead space "how awesome would it be if this is what doom3 was".
i'm glad theirs another survival horror game that i can be excited for, been watching this forever and its getting closer and closer. trailers great too (though it doesn't look like silent hill to me, which i'm thankful for).
This looks great, really reminded me of System Shock and that's definitely a good thing. One question though "Sometimes you have to kill the people you love." What kind of stupid shit tag line is that???
This game has great potential. With visuals like these, playing Dead Space in a dark room at night is going to be more thrilling. I really hope the game play can follow up this good trailer.

Anything James Wan is great in my book.....the original Saw has IMO the best ending of any movie, ever.
You sound like you picked up Gaming in 2007.
why? because I think Dead Space looks like Bioshock?
This trailer scares me, I want the game but I may need to invite friends over to play it (I can't play scary games alone ;_;)
@Cletus
Are you related with Aborto the Fetus?
