After months of profusely salivating over Mirror's Edge trailers, Rev. Anthony and I had the extreme pleasure of profusely salivating over the game itself with a few minutes of hands-on gameplay at EA's showroom. Guided by one of the game's producers, both of us took charge of Faith's limber parkour maneuvers over a few rooftops and building sides with . I can say that we left with very positive impressions, which you have the privilege of hearing from our ridiculously attractive faces after the jump.

Livewire had some footage of a producer being interviewed while playing, and he kept dying like hell because he was tired, so I did got the idea that you needed skill to play it.

Can't wait to get my hands on this. I started Parkour about a year ago, and to actually see a game coming out based on it is wonderfully full of, "Awesome."

Hmm... it's a shame you didn't get a taste of the combat, I would have liked to get more impressions of it. From what I've heard from other sources it's a bit of an afterthought and not much fun.

I don't know if having a games depth dictated by the use of 2 buttons be worth 63 dollars. Looks great and I'm sure it is super fun (which I agree with!)

I am so excited to finally see some new video clips on Mirror's Edge and hearing you guys talk about it has me excited. I have been wanting to know more about this game since way back when they just released like 4 screenshots and a little bit of info.

You need to find a way to steal one of those PS3s you were playing the game on and send it to me so I can play it. Don't worry, if you get caught, just tell them that I told you to do it, and they will understand.

Also, do more videos like these.

These trailers have really done nothing for me. From what I've seen the game looks rather lifeless and empty. Did you get this feeling at all from actually playing the game?

I think Mirror's Edge is my personal Game of the Show, which is weird because it seems to be such a straight forward and simple product.

Also, I need you guys to hi-jack X-Play. You're both charismatic mofos that need more face time in video format together.

Please, more videos. Its like watching the Real World/Road Rules before they started casting jerk-offs.

I love the whole concept of this game. I've been dieing for a game to attempt to get body movement to feel/look less robotic. The art style is refreshing too.

I definitely share your fears of how it could go wrong but I trust they're aware of that. Can't wait and I like the video blogs by the way.

Excellent to hear the game actually takes skill, and won't be autopilot BS like Assasin's Creed.

It's great to hear that this game is delivering what it promises so far. I'm getting rather worried about getting really bad motion sickness though as I can't even play half life 2 without feeling sick...

Also the volume level for this vid is way too low :-(

Nice composition, Rev. I really like the style and flow of this, as well. You guys should do laid back video reviews like this in the future. The conversational style made me feel like part of a conversation, as opposed to a passive reader. It added a ton of life to the same old generic three paragraph preview.

Awesome work, as always.

It does look like they replaced all the brown so popular in most modern games with white. Needs more color variation.

Anyways, this game sounds and looks great so far. I wonder what lead to the creative choice of putting it in the first person view perspective as opposed to 3rd. Seems like a game about jumping and such should be in 3rd but I guess if it plays as well as you both say they must be doing something right. Interesting how they put so much focus on seeing body parts of yourself as you move in game.

Thanks for your guys impressions on what you played. Shed some light on the mystery of the game.

Unless your talking about hair shorter than shoulder length and boobs != lara croft. But that doesn't describe anything. Only girls with short hair...

I hope this game has a free roaming mode where I can just jump around the city undisturbed. Think spiderman2.
