Ahhh -- smell the fresh Eve of E3 air! While the show officially kicks off this Tuesday, July 15, members of team Destructoid have already touched down in the City of Angels in preparation for the big week.
It's going to be a wild one, for sure. While we already have a good idea what we'll be seeing from publishers over the next few days, we're still expecting a few surprises. We're sure to hear tomorrow at Microsoft's, Electronic Art's, and Square Enix's respective conferences. And what does Bungie have up their sleeve, and does it have anything to do with Microsoft's press conference or -- gasp -- EA's? (Cue spooky music.)
So what should you expect from us this week? A hell of a lot, actually. Get this: there are going to be eight of us covering the show (including myself): Anthony Burch, Chad Concelmo, Colette Bennett, Niero, Ron Workman, Tiff Chow, Dale North (the sexy one), and Jonathan Holmes catching all of the action on video man-on-the-street-style.
Expect a ton of coverage, including hands-on impressions, screenshots, video, and live-blogging of key events. We recommend hitting F5 all week, but hit the jump to see what we have in store for each day.

So I think you get the idea: even with eight of us, we're going to be busy. Really busy. But we're excited. Are you? What are you looking forward to hearing about and seeing the most this year?
I'm most excited for the conferences, see what surprises we don't know about.
Also hopefully you'll have time to party with us LA locals.
Forget all this gaming news business.
I'm expecting a lot of surprises from the big 3, but we'll see.
I would of exspected a new lich king trailer but since blizzard got bought out by activision and they left the gamers council thing they wont be there, shame but still I hope theres plenty of amazing suprises.
With all the drinking that is sure to go on, I'm expecting a downward trend in the number of articles per day from you guys as the week progresses. Hopefully by Thursday you'll all be hungover and surly, mumbling incoherently and starting fights.
On a serious note, who's biting the bullet and trekking over to BE-3?
I'm sure the hotels have SOMETHING that might pass for a bar. Otherwise, it's off to the fop houses.
Skip the trip to Mr Iwata and go straight to Miyamoto to kick him squar in the nutsack for loathing the F-Zero series.
