Tonight at Activision's "not E3" press conference, id Software's Todd Hollenshead officially revealed the Raven Software developed Wolfenstein

While the game doesn't have a fancy name yet (we doubt it'll simply be called Wolfenstein when it ships), we do know that the series' protagonist William "B.J." Blazkowicz is back and ready for action. The game once against involves Nazis and the occult, with a focus on an inter-dimensional portal known as the "Shroud." B.J. will have to learn to use the "Shroud" against his enemies, as he fights alongside resistance soldiers.

No word on release date or platforms, but you can take a wild guess. More information on the title should be available at this year's Quake-Con.

The "shroud" sounds like the "grey" from the book "Greywalker" by Kat Richardson. Ho-hum.

Please make sure multiplayer isn't laggy! The last one was awesome except when you had more than two in a multiplayer match.

I'm wary... ID hasn't made anything good in a while

@king3vbo -

But...I thought all that mattered was how PRETTY a game is?

Raven Software(Jedi Knight, Quake 4, Marvel Ultimate Alliance) seems to be the main developer on this game, what with iD being busy with Rage and Quake Live.
