Can't believe how much I like the looks of this, given how absolutely terrible I thought Lost Planet was (didn't bother with the second). I'm just going to pretend its a totally different franchise.
I would have been interested in this game if it wasn't for the whole Anime slant they got going on. I despise that. It makes me want to vomit and shoot myself whenever I see a JRPG. I just can not stand their stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid characters. I can't stand how they all sound exactly the same. I can't stand all the noises they have to make every 3 seconds.
I can't stand the story's, and how they are all exactly the same. I can't stand the way they look, or how everything needs to be so damn melodramatic and over the top sexual tones throughout. I can't stand a single damn thing about 99% of every single Japanese game that has these Anime-like characters in them. I am not joking when I say I would rather eat my own shit, shit out the shit, sprinkle some random dudes shit on it, and eat it again than play a single JRPG or game with Anime characters in it ever again.
Seriously. Not even joking. I've never, ever had anything just tear apart my nerves like these games do. And I am someone whose "Best Games of all Time" list is comprised of many games from Japan like A Link to the Past, Super Mario 64, and Ocarina of Time. Yet, put one of these JRPG/Anime type of games in front of my and I can literally feel myself tearing itself apart at a molecular level.

why all the hate for LP3? it really looks like the best version and actually has a character that is interesting.
I stopped being into this kind of stuff a long time ago, but that trailer put a big grin on my face. Hope it comes stateside.

As far as avoiding a meltdown you use control rods made from a composite alloy of COD and Gears of War.

This almost gives me a ZOE vibe. So I really want it, thankfully I have both systems it's on. Now I just hope it gets released here on one of them. Thinking the 3DS version would be more likely to see a US release than the PS3 version.
@ekgprod... isn't that almost every game, i mean US based games are different but your complaints about the same old stuff still applies to our stateside industry. every other game is a shooter or zombie game with the same old plot lines and all that stuff. Every other game here is an FPS with guns and lots of blood baths. this article might sum things up better than i can:

All the pretty colors and J-Pop in the world can't make that gameplay look any less bland. Looks like a bad Dreamcast arcade port.
