Dynasty Warriors VS is coming to 3DS this year, and it's carrying a Nintend-flavored surprise. There will be alternate costumes based on The Legend of Zelda's Link and Metroid's Samus. You can check them out in the above trailer, towards the end.
I do love this relationship Nintendo has with Tecmo Koei, from promotional work to full-on Pokemon crossovers. Give me a Dynasty Warriors with Nintendo characters, like some sort of hack n' slash Smash Bros., and I think I'd have my game of the year.
Couldn't give a toss about either Samus or Link, I just want the voice over guy from that ad screaming throughout the whole game. But with the characters having the English voice acting from DW2-7.

@phil
I'm more of a samurai warriors guy, but there are some pretty awesome sounding features in this.
If I remember correctly, ryu and ayane from NG are in it.( along with some SW characters )
@thenakedest, the costume is skyward sword link. You can tell from the style of pants he's wearing. He has the hylian sheild but that item is also in skyward sword, it's just difficult to get and isn't needed to finish the game
Link wears tights in OoT. His tunic is also a little different in Skyward Sword. Its split open on his sides, where his hips are. with some chain mail showing underneath
@ujn hunter, most of the criticism for other m should be directed towards Yoshio Sakamoto. He's behind the "story" and the weird controls. Team ninja tried to offer different control options but Sakamoto was strongly against it because it interfered with his vision o_O
Makes sense to be pushing this hard. Now that the casual gamers have deserted Nintendo for their smartphones and Angry Birds the big N has to lure back the "hardcore" crowd. Given how big Dynasty Warriors is in Japan its a good place to start. It also wouldn't surprise me if Jim's Nintendo Musou prediction didn't come true eventually.
Well Jim, you officially sold me on this. I love the Three Kingdoms story, but the DW games have grown sort of tiresome to me. Throw Samus, Link AND Ryu Hayabusa/Ayane in, though, and I'm sold!
That guy in the Link costume is so hardcore that he will refrain from using his completely functional Master Sword and Hylian Shield and just beat the shit out of you with his crappy broadsword.
Wat.... of course it's fracking Zero-Suit Samus. I love Metroid Zero Mission. It's probably my favorite 2D Metroid (blasphemy, I know), but the obsession it has spawned with the Zero-Suit is a serious problem. Forget Kony 2012, I'm making a Zero-Suit 2012 video. There needs to be an invasion. INVISIBLE METROIDS!
@Tesko: You're actually not the only one that'd call Zero Mission his fave. I was disappointed that they didn't go for Samus' traditional suit, but I'm still thrilled that she gets repped, and I think the reason is that they're costumes and not characters. It's more interesting when you can tie in a specific Nintendo character's outfit with a Dynasty Warriors character, which is easier when there's a face to show.
Also: are you sure that the Zero Suit originated in Zero Mission? I was always under the impression that it debuted elsewhere, though I can't put my finger on where.
