Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 photo

If there was one major complaint I had about Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, it's that it couldn't fulfil its primary role on the PSP. It was designed with co-op in mind, but the chances of finding four people with both a PSP and the desire to play Dynasty Warriors are slim to none in America. I am thrilled to report, however, that one of Koei's most inventive takes on the DW formula is heading to consoles.

Released on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 1 in Japan, the game should see some graphical improvements, as well as a much less painful control scheme. No word about online play yet, but logically that would be a major reason to port the game over. This game severely needs online multiplayer, so I'll wait patiently for news on that before getting mega excited.

If this can go online, this could be the most awesome Dynasty Warriors game ever. I know some of you are wanting to quote that statement and retort with "That's not saying much," but you can bugger off.

[Thanks, CrimsonDamon]

But... I just got DW6: Empires, and I'm still only 1/5th of the way through Bladestorm!

Dammit KOEI give me a chance to play your bloody games!

Oh man, the friend I played all the way through DW6 with moved about 2 hrs away, leaving me to play Empires by myself. Finished all the scenarios, but it just wasn't as fun. Online multiplayer will totally bring us back together again. I say fuck yeah.

Wouldn't it be great if PC 360, and PS3 folks can play with each other? You'd pretty much triple the multiplayer population doing that.

The bloke in that picture looks like the offspring of a blue Chocobo and David Bowie.

Haven't picked up a DW game in a long time. Looking forward to this and hoping the online multiplayer has some good choices. I haven't checked but up to how many people will you be able to have in one map? Can it be allvscomp or 2vs2 and such? Thinking up picking up DW6:Empires to tide me over in the mean time...worth it?

Finally, true online co-op for a game that should have had it a long time ago. After I purchsed DW 6, I promised myself that I would not buy another (Toei: DW or SW game) until a REAL online co-op was added. Well, looks like I can come back into the fold....I have many 360 friends that have been waiting for this also, so this is very good news.

How many Gundams are in this game? If the answer is zero, I won't be buying this.

I spent about half an hour playing this killing some guys on a small generic map using the weird stupid DW 6 combat system or something. And then I never played it again. Maybe there is something more if i get past that, but I'm more hoping SW 3 turns out good. And hating them for not releasing WO:Z.
