Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce box tastes like GTA photo

Koei Tecmo has revealed the European box art for Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, and it bears more than a passing resemblance to Grand Theft Auto. Dynasty Warriors cover art usually just has a picture of one character and tends not to inspire much interest, so this is quite a departure.

The considerably more busy "panel" style art definitely looks like something out from Rockstar's library. I somehow doubt that Strikeforce will sell as many copies as Grand Theft Auto IV, but it couldn't hurt to try a new approach, right?

Strikeforce is out today for Xbox 360 and PS3, and features online play. That's pretty rad!

Koei Europe “Borrows” Grand Theft Auto Cover Art For Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce [Siliconera]

[Update: I originally stated that the cover art was North American. It is the European box. Strikeforce's NA cover features a solo DW character]

Must have been drafted by some Chinese guys, cause that's always their angle. Get it to look like something else that way someone at least buys it by accident.

The police have standing orders not to pursue Lu Bu.

@Josh
You get to actually pursue Lu Bu in this game!

@Topic
It's hilarious that the PS3 version doesn't look anything like that. As for the game, I love it!

Disgaea and Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm also have similar cover.

The GTA style cover for DW:SF is for Europe only. The North American box art is the same as the PSP version (Zhao Yun looking up in the sky). Either way the game is going to be amazing.

One of the few games I'm looking forward to online play with. The demo showed that the three bots who help you in single player are relatively competent. The only shame is the lack of offline co-op. Luckily online will expand the amount of people to play DW with above one.
