Dynasty Warriors Online is something that we should have been playing five years ago. Japan has enjoyed an online version of Dynasty Warriors for many years on PC, but now that Koei is bringing it to the PS3, there's a decent chance we might get a sniff of it in the West. I bloody hope so, as it aims to bring 24-player battling to the table!
Dynasty Warriors Online is hitting Japan on February 18, and it will offer a premium box with a soundtrack CD and poster. As well as the massive battles, player guilds and character customization are all part of the fun. No word on any potential release in North America, but it's not like the game is so complex that one would need to read any text. Importing the Japanese version seems very, very tempting to me right now.

Well, DW2 was the first one that was actually like a Dynasty Warriors game. The first Dynasty Warriors was more comparable to Soul Edge. It's the reason why Dynasty Warriors 6 is actually called Shin Sangokumusou 5 in Japan, because the first one was a "True" Dynasty Warriors.

do yourself a favor and go play either Dynasty Warriors 5, Samurai Warriors 2, or Orochi Warriors 1/2. DW6 is a step back compared to those.
I'd also add Dynasty Warrior 3 to the mix. DW3 is still considered one of the best Warriors game. You want stupid hard? DW3, DW5.
DW3 = Hard plus Crossbows that rape HP hard. Go play Siege of He Fei on a maxed character and laugh as you fail even with Lu Bu.
DW5 = Chaos mode raped hard with a maxed character. Playing Wu Zhang Plains on Chaos got you killed in a matter of seconds. That's with a S healing Bodyguard.
Oh well. But yes to multiplayer.
NA Release RIGHT FKING NOW! I only wish it was on 360 but i guess ill wipe off the dust on my PS3 to play this.
