I hope this one is vastly better than 6, which was the ultimate downgrade in the series. I've got both consoles to hedge my bets though.

The original Dynasty Warriors was a one-on-one fighting game. Once Dynasty Warriors 2 was released with a hack n' slash format, Koei treated it like the start of a new franchise, which is was. For some reason, Koei's Western counterpart includes the fighting game in the series.

I am definitely going to get this as I didn't get the last one. The odd numbered games are always better than the even ones for some strange reason (or at least in my opinion)

DW 6 had some neat concepts, but it lost a bit from the other series when beloved characters were badly re-built. Hope 7 will be out for the D.S., mind you I'm also awaiting Hokuto no Ken Musou and DW Gundam 3!
Exclusive games aren't 'weird' - they're the most important consideration for a lot of gamers when it comes to deciding which console to buy.
I've loved anything ROTK ever since the NES.. but after playing Sengoku Basara 3, all I can say is they have better majorly stepped up their game this time around!

Lol at the minority of people posting crap about dynasty warriors, simply if you dont like the game then why read a story about it? I wouldn't read a story about a game I didnt like i've better things to do with my time. I'm really pleased they've finally released some more info on Dynasty Warriors 7, my experience is contrary to another person who commented, I find it hard to find people who dont like Dynasty Warriors. It's a really good game and I look forward to the release of DW7. Hopefully they've moved away from DW6 since that was just offensive to long time players such as myself.
Tecmo Koei has today officially announced Dynasty Warriors 7, san francisco real estate the latest in Omega Force's endless hack n' slash series all inclusive vacations. Curiously, the big news is that Dynasty Warriors 7 01 the one watches(known as Shin Sangokumusou 6 in Japan) won't be a multiplatform release, instead announced as a PS3 exclusive.
Whether it's just a PS3-only game in Japan remains to be seen a lange and sohne watches, though it would be weird for Koei to leave out the Xbox 360 when it launches in the rest of the world. Either way, there will be much more information on the game on October 26, when Tecmo Koei holds a special press event.

God fucking damnit! What the fuck is up with Squeenix shutting down stuff linked to Chrono Trigger? I mean seriously guys, you see all of the fan shit about Chrono Trigger and yet you somehow arent getting the hint that the fans want a fucking Chrono Trigger sequel (Cross wasn't a sequel). This almost pisses me off as much as when the shut down the Chrono Ressurection project.
