Thanks to my main men over at Koei Warriors, I am delighted to bring you an English trailer for the biggest cultural event since Dio's Holy Diver, Dynasty Warriors 6. It might be kind of like all the others, but this time there are a few cutscene clips thrown in with Sima Yi being a badass and fighting with FINGER WHIPS!

Finger whips are made of two parts win to ten parts brilliant, just like everything Koei has ever made apart from Mystic Heroes which was a bit crap. This is rampant, overexcited fanboy speak but you can't really stop me and that's the best part about it, actually. I will of course be bringing my fellow Koei devotees a full of review of Dynasty Warriors 6 as soon as I get a copy of it. Until then, I stand by with a jar of lube and a box of tissues, ready to partake in a little "undercover" journalism with this game.

I know I am not a well man.

Dynasty Warriors is based on a true story. Everything within the game is historically accurate.

Sweet Dynasty Warriors 2......er.....6 video. As much As I liked 2 and 3, it's starting to become like the Land Before Time movies....does anyone even know what number they're up to on those yet?
Graphics do look 'better', but these type of run-of-the-mill 3rd person action titles from Japan don't look too next-gen to me.

Kinda like if the PS2 had an expansion port for better 3D graphics like the N64 and that Donkey Kong game.

Heretic: I wish, but sadly Koei seems to only do online games in Japan. :-(

Nothing for DW6, but I believe Koei is looking into using Xbox Live more in the future.

I love how these soldiers respond to Lu Bu with surprise EVERY time he shows up. Game after game, the cries of "ZOMG, LU BU!!!one" never cease.

I fucking love Dynasty Warriors. My friend and I used to sit up to all hours taking turns to play DW2 on the PS2. Great fun, even though its just mindless button mashing there is something strangely addictive to it.

Xiahou Dun was always my favourite, WEI FTW!

God I can't wait. I love this series, it's the perfect game to play when you feel like sitting back and turning off your brain for a while.

Sima Yi sounds more evil than ever. Gotta love those fingerwhipclaw thingies.

I gotta say, the design changes for each character really look good, and this "renbu" system certainly makes you look more badass than ever XD

I look forward to DW games just as Jim would, but am I not the only one pissed here that the game lacks of Pang De and Da Qiao? 2 of my favorites are ousted.

I mean, many believe they'll be DLC on both XBL and the PSN, but seriously...I'd rather not be suckered into what's already unlocked in the game. -_-

Either way, this is just as much of a must as DMC4 will be. I'm pretty excited to try out the new "Super Sayain" lookin Gan Ning and Zhou Yu.

I'm worried about what you said from the preview, with the game being even SIMPLER to play!? But the previews always turn me on, and I'm glad to see the voice acting is as awesomely bad as ever. I need to play this so hard, but I dun have a 360 or PS3 =<. Least I still have plenty on Warriors Orochi I can always go back too.

I really wish Koei TRIED to bring over the PC DW online game. it looks pretty awesome. But of course such things will never happen.

I also have very fond memories of DW3 with my friend. I used to head over to his place to play right after school. Staying till about a good 7ish of solid peon killing. I remember my lazy stepmom didn't have the keys to get inside the house (or was too lazy to get her keys out...whatever.) and had to wait for me to come home. Good times....goooood times.

Everything within the game is historically accurate. < Wrong. It's about as historically accurate as the bible. Probably a bit more accurate than "Gone with the Wind" though.

It's based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which in itself is a fictional account of the actual historical events.

The series is great though, and DW& looks like pure awesome. :D

I actually like Dynasty Warriors. M dirty little secret: I own a whole bunch of them, and for awhile I would always pick up the games on the day of their release.

I actually liked the second game in the series, and I have (I think) the fifth game soon to play. Jim, you are not alone in your respect for the series.

If you played any incarnation of this game before, if you saw LU BU, you'd shout "ZOMG! LU BU" because that man can and will kick your ass.

A friend once stole his horse, then Lu Bu got angry and totally game over'd us.

DW 6 still has that characters that pop up in the horizon,lame.I wish they could put in that you can hit your fellow soldiers since they are useless anyway,better graphics make em more like hologram soldiers where your weapon passes through them.Herding your enemies and timing where you attack to avoid obliterating comrades should be a "CURRENT GEN" feature,not just lame swimming.
