Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I forsee chaos...
And why the hell does he have a stone pillar as a weapon now? His old bear claw things were awesome.
Jim: What are the actual differences between this and DW5:E ? I'll buy it regardless, just curious.
Dress the emperor up in new clothes, be they Gundam or Ancient Greece (I'll give it a chance) and the fools will come to buy. Koei have been running on this empty carcass for far too long.
Now don't get me wrong. The one thing I hope comes from the Koei Tecmo merger, is that Koei learn to make OTHER GAMES, based upon NEW GAME DESIGN CONCEPTS, beyond bs they have been serving for the last decade. Nice try with Fatal Inertia, but that failure is one to learn from, not one to let you regress back to DW version 3578. I sometimes wonder if this is due to another japanese developer having problems with the 2d to 3d transition of game design. They seem so scared to abandon this template for something new.
Tecmo have a lot of vision (well, enough to get by). We need only look at Metroid Other M, to see that they understand what they are doing, to create a compelling fun game. Koei, I heard didn't know about this game until E3, if so its just as well. I pray Tecmo don't fall into the mediocrity pit, because Koei have made such a low risk home, their island of ignorant bliss.
Continue on though, DW fans. Each to their own.
I'll probably wait until it goes down in price, though. I just recently bought DW: Gundam and I've pretty much got my DW fix for a while.
sorry poems
