Kizuko recently interviewed the king of tasteful game promotion, Denis Dyack, and managed to find out a range of interesting information about Too Human, including that it can take between "15 and 80 hours to complete" and that all the loot in the game is "probably not possible to get - not for a single person." Denis tastefully omitted that shooting your gun in the game is equivalent to using a gun as a ball-jointed doll with a spring loaded into its arm.
To expound on the completion time, Denis explained that the first playthrough can take about 15 hours, but to reach level 50, players would have to pour anywhere from 50 to 80 hours into the epic saga. Of course, he's hardly out of ideas even though Too Human is about to come out, sharing this information about future titles:
"The story was done a long time ago," he said. "The theme of the first game is discovery, the theme of the second game is revenge, and the third game, enlightenment."
"And the trilogy and the whole idea of focusing on the Norse mythology and effects on technology we think is really going to turn people's heads."
You know the really twisted aspect of all this is that all those plans would sound great ... if I didn't know that they were said by the same guy who baited NeoGAF forum members to be "owned" by Too Human. Let's hope that Dennis' future projects reek of slightly less self-righteous supremacy.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
But now...now Dyack has to be a righteous tool, spewing nonsense day in and out about how "amazing and incredible" everything about this game is. It's enough to make me wait until the game is in the bargain bin.
I doubt it'll sell well enough to make the entire trilogy anyway.
That's exactly what I said when I played the demo. Seriously, that is just terrible.
Prediction: The theme of the first game will be epic fail and Dennis Dyack as the grand marshall of a parade in honor of Cliffy B and the internets. The theme of the second game will be Lovecraftian horror. Maybe they could call it something catchy like "Eternal Darkness II".
"The Elite universe contains eight galaxies, each galaxy containing 256 planets to explore."
HOWEVER....
"the game was originally intended to contain 248 (approximately 281 trillion) galaxies. The number was limited to eight when Acornsoft noted that such a gigantic number would make the artificiality of the game universe evident to the player."
Hmmmmm, So is the too human universe too artificial?
I enjoyed the demo and have the game pre-ordered. Is it perfect? No. The gunplay, as mentioned in this article, kind of sucks, which makes me wonder how anyone could possibly use the Commando class (and potentially the Bio-Engineer). But the gunplay doesn't seem to really be required, as there are 3 other classes that focus more on melee which work just fine.
Just because they had a bad E3 showing a few years ago shouldn't mean he's not allowed to promote his game any more. What's he supposed to say? "Oh, well.. the game's alright... You might like it, I guess... I kind of do."
That said, someone will probably do this in the first week, if they can stomach it all.
